Elsbeth Silbers

Elsbeth Silbers was born on April 20, 1820 as the second child of David and Lena Silbers in a small apartment above her father's butchery in Lutheria. Elsbeth and her family are Jewish and one of the few Jewish families in the area, with their Shul Zohar being in the city of Lutheria. As Elsbeth is the second child, she had more freedom in choosing her life than her older brother Joël, who was destined to take over the family business. From a young age, Elsbeth had an interest in becoming a nurse, but there was, unfortunately, not enough money to pay the tuition. Instead, Elsbeth offered to volunteer at the Hospital in Lutheria, where she mainly assisted in caring for the elderly and long-term patients, many of whom were part of the Jewish community. Additionally, she helped those in need by collecting food and clothing for the less fortunate.   When the Hochter family lost their house in a fire, Elsbeth helped them by collecting clothes and housewares. It was here that she met Samuel Hochter, to whom she felt a strong attraction. However, she was too shy to admit her feelings at the time. It wasn't until years later that the two finally revealed their mutual love, as if it were meant to be. Elsbeth and Samuel got married on March 5, 1841. The union proved to be a good one, bringing both love and benefits to their respective families. Samuel had a farm where he raised and traded cattle, and Elsbeth's father and brother could use the meat and produce for their butchery. This provided some financial relief to both families, but especially to the Hochters, who were very poor and on the brink of ruin due to the recent fire and financial struggles.   On January 16, 1841, their son Herman Hochter was born. Despite some complications at birth, he was born healthy and cheerful, although a few months later than anticipated. Herman brought the desired heir for the farm. Three years later, their second son,Mozes Hochter, was born on May 12, 1845. Although the birth initially went smoothly, it became apparent that the baby was breech. Two doctors present at the birth tried to save him. After several hours, the baby was finally delivered, but unfortunately died shortly afterwards. Elsbeth was heartbroken and fell into a depression. She became extra protective over her family and wanted to save them from all harm. The baby, posthumously named Mozes, was buried at the cemetery in Lutheria.   A few years later, their third son, David Hochter, was born on January 4, 1853. Elsbeth had a very stressful pregnancy as she was sure this child would also die. She did not leave her bed and spent hours singing religious chants and praying for her child to be born unharmed. Luckily, the birth went well and a healthy baby was born. For the first few weeks, Elsbeth did not leave David's side, making sure he was fine. Later, she became more relaxed and resumed her other duties as well. A few years later the family welcomed another baby. This time a little girl named Lotte, who was born on December 18, 1864. Although Elsbeth experienced stress, the pregnancy went better and a healthy girl was delivered.   Elsbeth has a petite and pale complexion, featuring striking blue eyes and bold dark eyebrows. Her expression often reflects a pensive and melancholic mood. Unlike many women, she prefers practical short hair. Standing at only 1.60 meters, she is noticeably smaller than her husband.      

Residence

The Hochter farm is a small cattle farm located in the Denron neighbourhood of the Vöhren district. It is situated near the crossroads of the Kild River and the Holle River. The property is owned by the Hochter family, who primarily engage in raising and trading cattle. They either keep the cattle on their land or buy from local farmers, then sell the cattle or the produce to others. Their primary trading partner is Silbers butchery, a kosher butcher in the city of Lutheria, which is affiliated with the Hochter-Silbers family.

Hochter

The Hochter family is one of the few Jewish families living in the area. Their ancestors hailed from East Germany and Poland, and they migrated to Kilden in search of a better life. For many generations now, the Hochter family has been residing in the region, with most of them working as farmers or butchers. Most notably, the Hochter farm is known for raising cattle for meat production, which is primarily sold through local butchers in the area. Despite the fact that they still face prejudice and hatred from locals of other religions, the situation is slowly improving, and people are becoming more respectful towards other faiths.
