Aloysius Rothfeld
June 07, 1837
Aloysius Rothfeld was born on June 7, 1837 in Austria as the son of Georgius Rothfeld and Mariëtte Bruére. His birth brought great joy to the family, especially for Georgius who longed for a son. Aloysius spent his first years in a happy and stable family. However, over time, Georgius became more possessive and overprotective of his son and wife. Aloysius had to stay indoors, focusing on his studies instead of spending time with his peers, as his father wanted him to succeed. Aloysius followed his father's will, keeping his own needs to himself. When Aloysius expressed his desire to pursue a medical career, Georgius exploded and pressured his son into a military career to uphold the Rothfeld family's honour. Despite trying to stand his ground with the support of his mother, the abusive behaviour against him and his mother resulted in him relenting and pursuing the desired military career.
When he left the house for his training, he hoped the situation would change and his sacrifice would not be in vain. However, the abuse towards his mother continued. Meanwhile, Aloysius was having a hard time in the military. He hated it and never felt like he fit in. But Aloysius pushed through to make his father proud and happy again. However, in 1859 Mariëtte fled the house and stayed with friends in Austria and later Prussia. When Aloysius heard of this, he used his contacts to look for an apartment for her, which he found in Lutheria, far away from his abusive father. He promised her he would move in with her as soon as he could leave the military.
On January 2, 1860, Aloysius discovered that his father had committed suicide. Aloysius was in shock, as he never would have thought his father would do something like this. He felt guilty, thinking that he was the one who had let the situation escalate. He planned to attend the funeral, but Georgius had stated in his will that he and his mother were not welcome and that he had disinherited them. Georgius wished to be cremated instead of buried, and for his ashes to be scattered in an unknown location.
In 1862 Aloysius was able to leave his military service and got the opportunity to retire. He immediately went to Lutheria to live with his mother in the apartment he bought for her.
Aloysius resembles his father in looks. He has a pale face with deep-set blue eyes and dark eyebrows. However, he has inherited his mother's empathetic expression. Aloysius is quite tall, measuring 1.94m, and has a muscular build. Although he has a confident posture, Aloysius is a shy person who often gets lost in his thoughts.
