In the matter of Citizen Arnolf Farkasen of Atrolen, within the district under our jurisdiction, suspected of the murder of the minor citizen Lore Abrant, committed in Atrolen on the twenty-seventh day of Vulpiose of the present year—
After all evidence and materials pertaining to the case were duly submitted and presented before us, the undersigned Citizen Investigating Magistrate, and after the examination of the accused, Citizen Farkasen,
And especially upon consideration of the following established facts:
- That during the thorough inspection of the body of Citizen Lore Abrant conducted at the police station, a single hair was discovered within one of the wounds upon her neck, a hair not noted in the initial examination at the scene of the crime;
- That, upon the expert opinion of Doctor Bule and upon our own observation, it is evident and indisputable that said hair belongs to a werewolf of gray coloration, whereas the hair of the accused Citizen Farkasen is of entirely black hue;
- That we find insufficient grounds to disbelieve the testimony of Citizen Farkasen, who declared that at the time of the murder he was engaged in his customary walk in the forest and that, without unlawful or deceitful intent, he had left the door of his dwelling unfastened;
Therefore, holding that there exists a high degree of probability that the murder of the minor Citizen Lore Abrant was committed by another person and not by Citizen Arnolf Farkasen,
We hereby DECREE that Citizen Arnolf Farkasen be immediately released from custody.
