Eduardus Grenn was born on April 2, 1805, in Lutheria as the son of Hans Grenn and Anne Grenn. Shortly after his birth, his mother abandoned him. She was known for having a bad temper and was often in and out of jail. His father, however, was a loving and devoted parent who raised Eduardus on his own. Hans was fond of telling imaginative stories about thrilling adventures and great triumphs, often drawing inspiration from his faith.
Unfortunately, on September 17, 1816, Hans Grenn passed away due to the toll that his participation in the Napoleonic Wars had taken on him. He had lost his passion for life and was battling depression. The only thing that kept him going was his son. Yet it was not enough to keep his broken body going. With Hans gone, his brother took care of the eleven-year-old Eduardus.
When Eduardus turned sixteen, he decided to study grammar and pursue a career as a writer. He found inspiration in his father’s stories and started writing fiction and poetry. While studying, he became intrigued by several liturgical texts, which sparked his interest in religion. Consequently, he shifted his focus from fiction to religious studies.
After finishing his studies, Eduardus decided to join a monastery. While there, he spent his days praying, reading, and writing. The monastery had a large collection of books from different religions, which Eduardus eagerly read. Inspired by this knowledge, he started keeping a diary to record his reflections on faith and his ideas.
In 1838, on Christmas Day, Eduardus had a dream of leading his own parish and inspiring people with his faith. He interpreted this dream as a calling and subsequently left the monastery to pursue it. At that time, the Catholic Parish of Green Chapel was seeking a new leader, and Eduardus seized the opportunity without hesitation. Despite being a Catholic parish, Eduardus made it inclusive of people from other faiths and beliefs, encouraging everyone to be more open-minded towards different religions.
Eduardus Grenn is a person of small stature, standing at only 1.67m and weighing 75kg. He has a fair complexion, blue eyes, and light-grey hair. His calming gaze and friendly smile reflect his gentle nature. Eduardus is renowned for his kindness, sound advice, and willingness to help those in need.
