Anne-Line Decroix
One of the 3 Consuls of the Triumvirate ruling the French survivors of Lille; Minister of Research; Leader of the Fight against the Mist. She is vital to Humanity's survival.
Mist
A mysterious Mist that covered all of Earth and killed 99% of the population. Survivors gained strange abilities but can still succumb to contamination or to the monsters hidden in the Mist.
Mist contamination
The true danger of the Mist: the particules accumulating in our brain slowly making us go crazy until we end up betraying humanity to the monsters and Shades hiding in the Mist.
Mist abilities
After the First Mist Exposure, the few who survived all started to develop strange abilities that seem to be an extension of the Mist's own ability to bend the laws of physics. They are our only chance against the Mist monsters.
Mist monsters
The terrible creatures that came with the Mist and hide within it to play with us and kill us.
Treatment for Mist contamination
Until a cure is found, all of us need to stay vigilent, look for signs of Mist contamination, and respect confinement procedures no matter the identity of the potentially contaminated individuals. Our lives and the survival of humanity depend on it.
Consuls of the Triumvirate
A natural political alliance of 3 individuals to protect and lead the survivors of Lille's Camp. All Lillois can agree they have proven they have our best interests at heart and the skills to defend them.
Heather Latham
One of the 3 Consuls of the Triumvirate ruling the French survivors of Lille; Spokesperson of the New Government, she convinces the Lillois to follow the decisions taken by the Triumvirate; Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Colonel Pierre de Surmont
One of the 3 Consuls of the Triumvirate ruling the French survivors of Lille; Minister of Defence, he leads the fight against the Mist and Mist monsters.
New Government of Lille
Lead by the triumvirate, it has proven its worth by ensuring the survival of the largest group of people in what's left of Europe and by ensuring that we are the worldwide leader in the research into the Mist and Mist monsters.
Decroix-Vasseur-Gaultier family
The First family in Lille's Survivor Camp. Anne-Line is one of the 3 Consuls leading Lille and her family all occupy the most important posts in the New Government. All are very skilled at their job and are (mostly) devoted to her.
Lille's military forces
Post-Mist, the Lillois are defended by a force of about 1,300 men, including 200 previous soldiers and policemen, 800 post-Mist-volunteer and 300 civilians with specialised skills.
Shields and wards against the Mist
People with shielding Mist ability are the only thing currently saving us from Mist monsters. We have found a way to strengthen such shields with metal bracelets and circle, but not to allow other people to create them.
Medicine in a time of Mist
Our traditional medicine is powerless against any Mist-related injuries. Thankfully, a few individuals have healing Mist ability. Unfortunately, it only work if the healer has a stronger will than both their patient and the one responsible for the injury.
Mist contamination detector
Given the danger of contamination, it is imperative we are able to detect it as well as dangerous pools of Mist. So far, treating lenses with metal mixed with our blood has allowed us to visualise some of the Mist, but a lot of research is still needed.
Universal Language
The use of Mist alongside natural speech to send "thought waves" into your interlocutor's mind to make them see the image or concept you associate with each word. This allows them to understand your meaning even if they don't speak your language.
Dream radio
The biggest source of hope in our post-apocalyptical hope. Our unconscious mind is free from its usual limitations, allowing Anne-Line to send "thought-waves" to the rest of the world to share info about the Mist and our new Mist-based technologies.
Lillois
Every survivors from the Hauts-de-France region has gathered in Lille, and everyone has been attributed new occupations based on their pre-Mist qualifications and the new needs born of the crisis.
Folded spaces
A miraculous technology using the "cloth of the world" from World Fault from where the Mist came into our world. They allow us to store materials of any types and sizes inside and have it disappear until the space is opened again.
General Stéphane Vernay
The leader of the Parisian survivors. A control freak who cannot stand that Lille is independent and leading the fight against the Mist.
Conflict between Lille and Paris
The Parisians are attempting to stir troubles by pretending we don't share our ressources fairly and that our leaders are illegitimate tyrans. Don't fail for this, they only want to control us!
Survivor statistics
We investigated the characteristics of the survivors of the First Exposure to the Mist so as to better understand what happened and how to protect ourselves against further contamination.
Paris' Survivor Camp
Since the Mist brought all communication networks down, we have not confirmed the Parisian survivors' location. Given the current hostilities between us, it is vital we do so as soon as possible.
Supply runners
A dangerous job to go outside the fortification of Lille to gather food and other important resources. We urgently call for volunteers willing to risk their lives to help our community survive!
Lille's Survivor Camp
Presentation of the camp and its rules for newly arrived survivors so as to ensure everyone safety and peaceful cohabitation.
Hauts-de-France region
A presentation of the region and its important agricultural and industrial resources that we can exploit to help us survive and fight back against the Mist.

Commandant of the Elite Division of Lille's military forces and Consul Anne-Line Decroix's cousin.

World faults
Holes in the fabric of reality through which Mist and monsters invaded our world. Coming close to one is incredibly dangerous yet necessary if we want to better understand the apocalypse we have gone through and fight back against it.
Weapons against the Mist
Mist binds to metal, so mixing your blood with melted metal is the best way to make it more reactive and "yours". Such activated metal is the best for forging great weapons against the Mist.

I'm working on Poisonous Mist.Main WIPs
1) The Empire of the Covenant: Set in a huge federal empire ruled by powerful mages linked to the ancestral magic of their Lands. One Fantasy Romance short story written.2) The Magical University of Lille: Alternate 1850s France. Set in a university with lecturer characters.
3) Portal to Sérannie: Portal Fantasy, going from France to a secondary world influenced by Roman culture and that is on the brink of a civil revolution.
4) The Engineering Corps: Science Fantasy, Alternate 1845 France. Focus on the engineering corps of the French army during the French revolutionary wars.
5) Dark Lord Seduction Plan: in a world where Light & Dark magic and political parties are on the break of war, set on the the Dark side.
6) Divine Tyranny: Set in world where gods are all-powerful, walk among mortals, and mess up with their lives.
7) Imperial Soulmates: Sci-Fi Fantasy with magitech anchored in plants and fungi, with everyone having a few soulmates all over the world (people with identical magic).
8) Soul Jars: Merchants-Mages steal the soul jars of the ancient Mages-Kings from their mausoleum and use their souls to power artificial bodies that are enslaved to their will.
9) Rome and the Sasanians: Alternative 340s Roman Empire.
10) Challenges of Magical University Life: slice-of-life in a magical university.
11) Victorian Evil Scientists: 19th century Europe, evil scientists work fun experiments in the service of a Dark Lord.
12) The City of the Hundred Fiefs: each fief of the city is controlled by one powerful mage, and all are at war against each other. To thrive in limited areas peaople have built upwards.
13) Alien Monsters: Sci-Fi with a culture centred around challenges and competitions.
14) Magical Maths: magic is practice through complex maths, making mathematician extremely prestigious. Also deals with disability and discrimination.
15) Poisonous Mist: A mysterious mist covers the world, killing most of humanity. Survivors starts to develop strange powers and have to face monsters coming from the mist.
